Oracle has announced that several reports available within Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) are being deprecated, with data no longer returned after December 2024. As OCI Identity Domains replaced IDCS, the reporting capabilities are moving to OCI's common service framework.
What's Being Deprecated
Reports on user activity, login history, and access events that were available within the IDCS console are being deprecated. The underlying data is still available — it's now accessed through OCI Audit, a common service capability across all OCI services.
How to Generate Reports Going Forward
Navigate to Observability & Management → Logging → Search in the OCI Console. Set the log search context to the compartment containing your IAM Identity Domain. Filter by event types such as successful logins, failed logins, user changes, and group membership changes.
Save your queries as Saved Searches for reuse, and embed them in OCI Dashboard for centralized monitoring.
What EPM Admins Need to Know
If you rely on IDCS reports for EPM user access auditing, compliance reporting, or security reviews, you need to transition to OCI Audit before December 2024. The data is richer in OCI Audit — you get audit records from every OCI service, not just IAM.
